Heat Rash at 17'C.... don't laugh
I've always been sensitive to the warm temperatures of the English summer but getting a heat rash in April is crazy even by my standards. Sadly it's true and my arm and hand currently looks as if I have chicken pox, which isn't one of the more attractive looks I must admit.
Yesterday was one of those days where you think it's going to be great, incredible even, and it just ends up being fairly average. I had an old friend around (the guy I was talking about earlier) and I hadn't seen him for a month and a half so I thought we would just sit and chat. Only we didn't. I mean we did for a bit and played badminton and had a great lunch but then he seemed to be getting bored and that made me tense and it just became painful (like my heat rash).
It got me thinking though: are there some things that you just can't control? Like my arm for instance. I've been sunburnt and that could have been stopped if I had been smart enough to find the suncream, but I don't think I'd be able to control a heat rash. Or this friend: if he was getting bored, I couldn't really stop that, but i don't know for certain if he was bored and he might have just been relaxed and if that's the case then I should have been too.
So maybe there are some things which you have to just let flow past you like a river and accept that no matter how many people join you in the river, you can't stop it.
